Radio personality, writer, and social commentator Studs Terkel gives us a fresh look at "The American Dream" through the eyes of people he interviewed for his book, The Great Divide: Second Thoughts on the American Dream. Recorded in 1988, Terkel’s lively views cut through the usual bland rhetoric about the social and political scene of the time and give us a new perspective on our own time. He calls it the way he sees it and his candor refreshes the mind and stirs the heart. There is lots of good, old-fashioned wisdom here for anyone wanting a more direct view of the signs of the times, both then and now. (hosted by Michael Toms)
