"I felt a pounding in my heart, as if my whole being were being pulled apart and infused with an enormous quantity of love, compassion and bliss." This was the experience of Barbara Gardner, who was selected from among 10,000 people to meet with Sathya Sai, the second Sai Baba of southern India. During a private interview in Sai Baba's ashram, a story was unfolding in her mind concerning people and events of which she had no prior knowledge whatsoever. Sai Baba told her to write a book she was thinking about and that book became The Sai Prophecy (Health Communications 1999). Gardner reveals how the experience changed her life, "This wonderful crisscross of light all across the globe is weaving a garment that is worn by the whole world, and we are all a thread in that garment. Bio

A scholar, lecturer and prolific writer, Gardner is currently living in Boise, Idaho.
