Even though classical science has not produced a good explanation for synchronicity, we all have had a direct experience of it at various moments in our lives. Our guest today tells us that synchronicity is defined as a meaningful coincidence that is personal and that it is nature’s language for communicating directly with us. He writes: “As you develop your personal sense of the meaning of events in your life, you enter into a cosmic dance with the divine that is totally unique to you.” He illustrates the idea that life knows what we are seeking so there’s an affinity, an attracting force that is happening. This intriguing dialogue explores how we can cultivate the capacity to invite more synchronicity into our everyday lives and how that can help us to make better choices as we develop our personal sense of the meaning of our life events. He says, “I think that the universe responds to the choices we make by bringing new events into our lives that match those choices. Therefore, each of our daily actions becomes important, making each action purposeful is a habit we can develop. Every action is meaningful, but a purposeful action involves direction on our part.” He gives us the key to looking outside ourselves for advice, such as searching for a sign from the cosmos. He talks about synchronicity not as some external conscious being telling us the right thing, rather as a process that reflects to us what we feel that we don’t have conscious access to. He describes the LORRAX process which helps us tap into this conscious access: Listen, Open, Reflect, Release, Act, Repeat the process. (hosted by Justine Willis Toms)
