Few qualities are more important to our health and peace of mind than resilience of spirit. Carol Orsborn was finishing a book about this very subject when she was diagnosed with breast cancer, which gave her the opportunity to put into practice the very things she had been writing about. Now healthy and cancer-free, Orsborn offers her own experience together with the teachings of spiritual masters from both Eastern and Western traditions to help us all learn to rebound gracefully from the setbacks we inevitably encounter. Carol Orsborn, Ph.D. received her Masters of Theological Studies and Doctorate in History and Critical Theory of Religion from Vanderbilt University with post-graduate work in Spiritual Counseling at the New Seminary in Manhattan. Orsborn received her Doctorate in History and Critical Theory of Religion from Vanderbilt University, specializing in adult development and ritual studies, including intergenerational values formation and transmission. She has served on the faculties of Pepperdine, Loyola Marymount and Georgetown Universities. Dr. Orsborn lives in Nashville, Tennessee as part of an extended grand-family.
