Two creative minds have joined to issue a broadside challenge to a century-old tradition focused on individual psychological health. By its narrow focus on personal history and relationships, they charge, psychotherapy ignores the political and economic contexts in which the individual exists. They range wide across the larger causes of personal psychological distress, pointing out psychotherapy's blind spots and what needs to be done to address them.
